It is true. I think that fanfic isn't the only thing you need to do to write good original fic, but it definitely helps. and I WOULD like to write original stuff again someday...the crazy dream is to be a novelist, but I dunno.
I think you would be a marvelous motivational speaker. I would totally listen to your speeches, anyway.
I can picture it now, my five novel sells five copies - my mom and dad, my great-aunt, my sisters, and you. XD well my great-aunt is totally the kind who would buy ten copies and hand them round to people. Maybe 14 copies, then.
